Finland is one of very few white spots in Europe without any outlet village. Finally the successful retail concept is coming to Finland.

Helsinki capital area will be getting its Outlet Village. The new village will be built near Helsinki-Vantaa Airport.

The village will include individual outlet shops selling Finnish, Scandinavian and Global brands within fashion, outdoor, leisure and home decor.

Fortus AS has secured a land in Vantaa, across IKEA Vantaa in the crossroads of E75 and Ring III. E75 runs from Helsinki via Lahti to the Northern Finland. The plot has already the necessary permits for retail.

A good location is of critical importance for the success of an outlet village.
An Outlet Village needs a large catchment of potential customers within less than 1,5 hr driving distance. The Helsinki area is by far the area in Finland with the best potential.

The location in the capital area, directly on two of the most important highways, close to the airport, and with Finland’s largest IKEA as the closest neighbor is unique. This unique location is therefore a guarantee for a success of the new retail concept in Finland.

The Outlet village will be directly serving all the 2.2 Million people within 90 min driving distance. It is expected that Outlet village’s inexpensive and attractive differentiated shopping experience will also be attracting people from all over Finland, from Russia and also international passengers at Vantaa international airport.

Architects are working on the drawings for the project and the new project will soon be given its commercial name.
